Is Atlantic Recovery 12 Step based?
Our experience in recovery has demonstrated that not all pathways are found in 12 step programs. Upon admission, a staff member will meet with new residents and lay out an individualized goal plan which may include 12 step fellowships, job seeking, family-oriented programs, as well as many other options at our disposal. If you are coming from a treatment center, we encourage all clients to formulate an after-care plan to best guide you on your recovery goals.
Do I have to be working to be a resident?
We believe that employment is a crucial step in gaining independence and satisfaction in early recovery; however, we find that there are many ways residents can contribute to society. You will be expected to engage in daily activities that foster the reintegration into the communities the alcoholic or addict has been isolated from. Whether you are seeking employment, volunteer positions, or engagement in recovery-based programs, our staff will help foster the growth that is imperative in recovery.
